The Centre for Metabolic Bone Disease at Hull Royal Infirmary provides a high quality service for the detection, prevention and management of osteoporosis. The Centre provides a direct access bone densitometry service and specialist outpatient clinics. Thanks to OSPREY the bone densitometry facilities in the Centre are some of the most up-to-date in the UK consisting of three fan-beam dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scanners, along with peripheral ultrasound and DXA systems.
