Maxine Osgerby is the Chief Technician and Manager at the Centre for Metabolic Bone Disease, a role she has held for the past nine years. She leads a team of five technicians and oversees the daily operations of the centre, which specialises in scanning patients at risk of osteoporosis and providing detailed reports to referring practitioners.
Maxine began her career with the Trust in 1998 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (2:1), joining the centre on a two-year research post. Since then, she has built an extensive career in bone health diagnostics and service delivery. She holds an MSc in DXA Reporting for Clinicians, along with additional qualifications in leadership and advocacy, further strengthening her clinical and managerial expertise.
In addition to her role within the NHS, Maxine actively works with local charities to promote mental health and wellbeing through activity-based support programmes. Her passion for patient care extends beyond physical health, reflecting her belief in a holistic approach to community health and support.
Maxine has been on the associated with the OSPREY charity for many years and a trustee since 2022. The charity is dedicated to the support of The Metabolic Bone unit supporting funding for new equipment and research through their dedicated charity work.
Maxine lives locally with her husband, Rich, and their two sons, Archie (22) and Roan (20).
